Modern Taekwondo - Youth Development Program | Medford Rec Modern Taekwondo is excited to build a community-based Taekwondo program right here in Medford, drawing on more than 15 years of experience developing youth martial arts programs in Cambridge and Boston.The Medford Rec program introduces students to a structured curriculum in a positive and supportive environment. Students develop Taekwondo technique, athletic coordination, confidence, and focus while learning the core values of Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.The program is led by husband-and-wife team Master Amy Maillet and Master Fredson Gomes, longtime youth instructors and 4th Dan Kukkiwon Black Belts. 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM    Intro to Skateboarding - Intro to Skateboarding
Knucklebones' Intro to Skateboarding is for participants with little to no skateboarding experience. Teaching fundamental skateboarding skills such as accelerating, balance, stopping, transitions and some tricks, dropping in and Ollies, we help participants develop confidence to apply these skills on their own. Proper safety equipment (knee pads, elbow pads and helmets) must be worn at all times during class. A skateboard and athletic shoes are required. If you do not have a skateboard, please let us know at registration and one can be borrowed during class…for the love of play!Participants must wear their own knee & elbow pads plus a helmet.
