Play one of the fastest growing sports in America! This fun and social sport is quickly growing popularity and is a great way for adults to stay active. If you have never seen pickleball before, the best way to describe the game is a cross between tennis and ping pong. The tennis court at Victory Park are lined with pickleball courts for play. One court is for beginners while the other is for intermediate/advanced players. New players are welcomed and many of our veteran players will help teach you the game. Pickleball volunteers will set up and break down the pickleball nets during the time of play. If you would like to help volunteer, please contact Kevin Bailey at kbailey@medford-ma.gov

This clinic is focused on building teamwork and everyday communication skills for participants (age 10-13), and utilizing techniques from parkour to develop strength, agility, and confidence.  The program is aimed at participants with prior parkour experience and will be made up of a number of instructional modules mixed with games and collaborative activities.  Participants will learn how to apply fundamental parkour techniques in an outdoor natural training environment, develop environmental awareness to understand how they are perceived by others, learn new skills to help them to “disappear” into a given environment, and practice methods of tracking/finding clues or persons through specialized games.
