In this newly created adaptive program, children with physical or cognitive disabilities will have an opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy a friendly game of bowling. In partnership with Belmont Recreation, staff and volunteers will be available to assist with the program. To help the Recreation Department better prepare for the program, we recommend you fill out the Inclusion and Accessibility Survey. For questions, please email our Program Manager, Kate Quinn at kquinn@medford-ma.gov.
 
7:45 PM - 8:30 PM    Co-Ed Lacrosse Clinic - Co-Ed Lacrosse Clinic
This introductory Lacrosse Clinic will teach the basics of the game including shooting, passing, and basic rules of the game. Instructor: Kate QuinnA limited amount of lacrosse sticks will be available to borrow. If you own a stick, please bring it to class. Class will be limited to drills only. Soft SWAX balls will be used for the clinic. Picnic tables will be available along with limited wifi for parents to continue working while their child is in the class. This class has been modified to meet COVID restrictions from the state. Please provide your own water bottle for each class. Class will need to be cancelled if an illness is reported or predicted inclement weather.Children and spectators will be required to wear a face mask

In this newly added arts & crafts program, children will use their creativity each week to complete a new art project. Projects include ceramics, paintings, sketches, and jewelry making. Instructor: Kate QuinnFace Masks will be required to be worn while in the Recreation Center. Please limit the number of spectators by having one parent per child.
 
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM    Middle School Basketball Clinic - Middle School Basketball Clinic (Wed)
In this Middle School Basketball Clinic, coach Kate Quinn will have players continue conditioning and refining skills. This class will be designed for competitive basketball players to have additional practice and conditioning time. Each week, kids ages 2-5 can get creative with different painting projects including ceramics, suncatchers, birdhouses, and more. Best of all, you can leave the cleaning to us!This class will meet at Tufts Park, located behind the swimming pool. Tables and chairs will be set up on the field to promote social distancing. Additional picnic tables will be available along with limited wifi for parents to continue working while their children are in our program. All painting equipment will be individually placed at each table. No paint or brushes will be shared. Face Masks will be required to be worn while in the Recreation Center. Please limit the number of spectators by having one parent per child.

Parkour Generations offers climbing, adventure, plus more. Kids receive instruction on basic movement of Parkour and a number of strength and conditioning exercises. 11:45 AM - 12:30 PM    Little Painters - Little Painters
Each week, kids ages 2-5 can get creative with different painting projects including ceramics, suncatchers, birdhouses, and more. Best of all, you can leave the cleaning to us!This class will meet at Tufts Park, located behind the swimming pool. Tables and chairs will be set up on the field to promote social distancing. Additional picnic tables will be available along with limited wifi for parents to continue working while their children are in our program. All painting equipment will be individually placed at each table. No paint or brushes will be shared. Face Masks will be required to be worn while in the Recreation Center. Please limit the number of spectators by having one parent per child.

In this newly added arts & crafts program, children will use their creativity each week to complete a new art project. Projects include ceramics, paintings, sketches, and jewelry making.
